To assure compliance across the full breadth of our medical communications services, we maintain a comprehensive global compliance program that includes a knowledgeable Compliance Team, best practice guidelines, employee education and support, and compliance monitoring.
Compliance management
The KnowledgePoint360 Compliance Team is central to our compliance management. The team:
- Ensures staff awareness of and compliance with relevant laws, regulations, guidelines and contracts, and consistent application of the highest ethical standards.
- Develops compliance policies and processes
- Maintains our comprehensive compliance guidelines
- Facilitates an effective communication channel to ensure staff are aware of external developments and new/updated regulations that impact our business
- Serves as an internal resource for advice on guidelines, our legal and ethical obligations, and resolution of potential challenges
- Ensures that KnowledgePoint360’s compliance program encompasses all elements recommended in the
OIG compliance program guidance, plus guidance from other respected organizations.

Compliance training
At KnowledgePoint360 we understand the importance of ongoing training across all aspects of our business, and compliance is no exception. All staff members who interact with clients and healthcare professionals are comprehensively trained and tested via a rigorous internal process. To reinforce the importance of compliance,we include adherence to all relevant regulations, guidelines, standards and processes are included in personal performance objectives.

Compliance testing
At KnowledgePoint360, our teams are tested annually on compliance knowledge and understanding using a Confidence-Based Learning system. This on-line tool provides a quantitative assessment of the user’s knowledge and their level of confidence in this knowledge. The methodology also integrates additional online learning opportunities for the individual. The test results provide a guide for further training activities, and also allow us to assess the effectiveness of our compliance training.

Compliance Audit
While having a compliance program is important, we believe it is just as important to document that appropriate practice has been followed. To accomplish this, KnowledgePoint360 has recently introduced an evidence-based publication audit tool called CheckPoint. This proprietary internal tool helps us to monitor adherence to best practices, including Good Publication Practice, throughout the publication support process.
Ethical Publication Practice
KnowledgePoint360 is an active supporter and Platinum Sponsor of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP), an organization dedicated to advancing the medical publications profession. Several staff are active ISMPP Board, Committee or Workshop members.
We are proud to announce that several of our staff have been awarded the Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) credential – a mark of accomplishment in strategic, tactical and implementation skills, and excellence in ethical publication practice.
