Assessment In the assessment stage, Scientific Connexions conducts thorough research and literature searching to determine marketplace trends and evaluate the competitive landscape. Working closely with our clients, we review the clinical development plan, assess competitive literature, and identify key target audiences for publications and education regarding the product and disease state(s). Planning After gathering the necessary information, Scientific Connexions works closely with our clients to develop the core publication plan strategies, determine the optimal communications platforms, and comprehend the relevant data to develop specific tactics to ensure timely publication of data throughout the product's life cycle. Some key components of our publication plans include Gap and SWOT analyses Execution Scientific Connexions proactively executes the tactics developed in the publication plan. For example, we continuously monitor meeting dates and abstract deadlines to ensure timely presentation of study data at key congresses. Our scientifically trained editorial staff interact with authors and key opinion leaders in a professional manner to develop good working relationships (See Advocacy Development) and ensure prompt submission of abstracts/journal articles. Our editorial and graphics staff provide full-service editorial assistance, including medical writing, graphic design, and production. In addition, we offer full logistical services and content development for medical meetings and educational activities in a variety of venues and media (See Medical Meetings). Tracking/Evaluation Scientific Connexions offers customized tools to track and create reports on the various elements of the publication plan, including the PubScope Publication Planning and Management System by our partners at e-Med Media. PubScope supports the management of strategic publication plans and facilitates communication among the team members involved with the publication plan. Recognizing that product and marketplace issues evolve over time, we evaluate these issues on an ongoing basis and proactively recommend new strategies and tactics to keep up with changing objectives, new competitive products, and new scientific developments. Publication metrics are used to monitor progress toward the publication plan objectives. |
